“[…]And I recognize my responsibility not to make europeanism the new nationalism.”

Max, 35, Germany

What makes you a European? And how does that show?:

I am a European because I enjoy the freedom of travelling all over our fascinating continent and beyond. And I recognize my responsibility not to make europeanism the new nationalism.

What would Europe in your imagination be / look like?:

I think everybody should like everybody. Everything will be fine if we all give what we can and only take what we need guided by the deep trust in the good will of humanity.

Can you describe one day in future europe? (getting up? work? whom do you meet?…?):

I get up when I want, because dependent employment has been substituted by unconditional basic income setting free an unthinkable potential of creativity and productivity in our wonderful melting pot of cultures. I will go help some friends build a house in community work and will get free food from somebody else. Direct reciprocity is neither required nor expected, because we all trust in humanity and know that somebody will help us like we help others when they are in need. It IS as simple as that.
