“[…]Europe as a purely supranational yet federal institution that leaves behind former intergouvernmental conflicts on the base of freedom and democracy. “

Jenny, 21, Germany

What makes you a European? And how does that show?: I

spent a year abroad and found really good friends from all over the world, but especially in Europe. I can travel and visit without greater barriers for which I am grateful. This freedom and common experience yet ever so slightly different cultures nevertheless unite us. I may understand their native languages but even without being able to speak theirs there always is a mean to communicate – beause all of us think in a similiar way.

What would Europe in your imagination be / look like?:

As declared by the founding fathers of the European Union me, too, aim for an ever closer union of the European States possibly leading to The United States of Europe as a purely supranational yet federal institution that leaves behind former intergouvernmental conflicts on the base of freedom and democracy.

Can you describe one day in future europe? (getting up? work? whom do you meet?…?):

I will be walking side by side through the streets with other multilingual people that are not discriminated for what they look and dress like, which language they speak or which food and drink they prefer because everybody knows the feeling of the primary culture clash when all borders were abolished.
